"My watercolors have evolved from a high-key palette, traditional
style to an
experimental color field palette abstracting the hues and shapes
found in
nature.
Current work melds the vibrancy and spontaneous flow of watercolor
with collage. I combine various techniques, colors and materials
in my paintings to evoke feelings and ideas. As a dedicated teacher-artist,
I communicate my vision through color, form and texture, much as
a poet conveys his thoughts through verse. I regard my art as visual
language."
